10 Alternative Must See Films Of 2013

5. The Iceman

AMF_3574 (140 of 194).NEF Everyone seems to love a good biopic. Year after year we€™re treated to uplifting and moving true life tales and 2013 is shaping up to be no different with the release of The Iceman in June. It is the heart-warming and inspirational true story of Richard Kuklinski, a man who... um... murdered over a 100 people... okay, so here€™s hoping it€™s not that inspiring, but it does sound interesting. The Iceman stars Michael Shannon as Kuklinski, a contract killer who, between 1964 and 1986, murdered people for money while keeping his profession a secret from his wife (Winona Ryder) and family the entire time. The Iceman has a so-crazy-it's-true storyline and fantastic supporting cast, including Chris Evans, Ray Liotta and James Franco, so could well be the surprise of the year. If you prefer a more conventional biopic, you could opt for Saving Mr Banks, which is the story behind the making of Mary Poppins released towards the end of the year. It stars Tom Hanks and Emma Thompson and comes with cast iron guarantees to warm your heart and inspire you. Whether it will inspire anyone to take children on psychedelic adventures with dancing penguins has yet to be confirmed.
