10 Amazing Movie Monologues

This is by far one of the most heartbreaking sequences in all of film. Rambo begins as an over the top action movie where Vietnam vet Rambo takes on an entire county of police. In the finale of the movie, as Rambo is cornered in a building and surrounded by police, his ex captain from the war is sent to calm him down and avoid a bloodbath.

Rambo breaks into a recap of the struggles he faced during the war, including a very intense retelling of watching his war brothers be killed. He talks about how it feels to come home to a country that was protesting him, and how no companies will hire a Vietnam vet.

This scene completely changes the feeling of the entire movie. It suddenly becomes a realistic portrait into the struggles that vets had to face. The best part about this scene is the way that Stallone absolutely owns it. Not many people would associate Stallone with epic speeches, but he blows the audience away with this incredible monologue.
