10 Amazing Recent Movies That Were 90 Minutes Or Less

One of the year's most startlingly visceral horror films, MadS was quietly released late in 2024 on Shudder, but turned out to be an uncommonly unique and impactful entry into the overcrowded zombie subgenre.

Filmmaker David Moreau kicks the movie off following Romain (Milton Riche), a young partygoer whose night of fun is suddenly derailed when a bloody young woman gets in his car out of nowhere.

From here, MadS leaps off to follow several characters as they get caught in the midst of a viral outbreak which swiftly turns those infected irreversibly feral. 

Moreau's decision to have the situation unfold in real-time, and be captured within a single take no less, ensures a high level of immersion, coupled with some utterly go-for-broke performances from the central cast (especially an incredible Laurie Pavy).

And at just 89 minutes, it's the perfect runtime for what it's setting out to accomplish.
