The wonderful wizards at Aardman Animations rarely disappoint, and the new Wallace and Gromit film just might be one of the greatest things they've ever produced, which is really saying something.

This warm, familiar reunion with its beloved central characters - and, of course, the iconic villain Feathers McGraw - is as gorgeously animated as we've all come to expect from Aardman, while offering some pointed critique of modern "convenience" technologies, especially AI.

Barely a moment goes by without a hilarious one-liner or witty sight gag, while delivering a welcome return to firmly hand-made stop-motion after Aardman's recent Chicken Run sequel was criticised for invoking a little too much CGI.

On top of all this and its fastidious sense of Britishness, Vengeance Most Fowl runs just 79 minutes, ensuring it's basically impossible to get bored, because it's over in a glorious flash.
