10 AMAZING Trailers That Sold Bad Movies

1. Sucker Punch

Sucker Punch
Warner Bros.

Promising an epic fantasy adventure that only limits itself on the imagination of the protagonist, Sucker Punch looked like it was going to be an easy win.

The main reason this trailer looks so good is the soundtrack fits perfectly, giving us enough to be intrigued but not too much to give the entire plot away. Scenes of explosions and fighting inter-cut with the mundane asylum. We see hints of the different worlds we could encounter whilst being grounded to Babydoll's reality.

The film Zack Snyder released, however, was not so grounded. It feels incredibly fetish-y rather than empowering this group of kick ass girls. Considering it is only 110 minutes running time it feels incredibly long and packed so densely it is hard to relax into it before you are ripped back out. Even if this was the intention it lacks the core that the trailer hinges on.
