10 Announced Movie Remakes That COULD Be Great

Difficult though it is to be much enthusiastic about any of Disney's live-action remakes of their animated classics, it seems like they might be cooking up something inspired with Tangled.
Beyond the fact that Tangled feels like a more natural fit for the live-action treatment than many other Disney animations, the big allure here is that it will be directed by Michael Gracey, who previously helmed The Greatest Showman and, most recently, Better Man.
With the latter in particular, Gracey proved himself an extremely skilled and creative filmmaker who could put an individualist spin on a project which could so easily become conveyor belt content slop otherwise.
For anyone with any lingering doubts about Gracey's chops, just check out the astonishing "Rock DJ" sequence from Better Man and put those qualms to rest.
However, it's worth noting that Disney did recently pause active development of Tangled due to the disastrous box office performance of Snow White, though given the obvious financial potential of a live-action Tangled, it's far more likely that they're taking a breather to consider their creative approach rather than cancelling it.
Either way, as live-action Disney remakes go, it's one which could actually live up to its beloved source material.
