10 Annoying Movie Characters Whose Deaths We Enjoyed

8. Norman Osborn/The Green Goblin (Spider-Man)

green goblin death Having held Spider-Man's love - Mary Jane (Kirsten Dunst) - and a Roosevelt Island Tram car full of children hostage alongside the Queensboro Bridge, the Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe) forces Spider-Man to choose who he wants to save and drops Mary Jane and the children. Spider-Man (Tobey Maguire) manages to save both Mary Jane and the tram car, while the Goblin is pelted by civilians showing loyalty to Spider-Man. The Goblin then grabs Spider-Man and throws him into an abandoned building where they fight. When the Goblin boasts of how he will later kill Mary Jane, an enraged Spider-Man overpowers the Goblin, unmasking him and revealing himself to be Norman Osborn - owner of Oscorp and Father of Spider-Man's best friend Harry. Norman begs for forgiveness, but at the same time attempts to remote-control his glider to impale Spider-Man. The titular superhero avoids the attack, causing the glider to impale Norman instead - a satisfying fate that he surely deserved thanks to his snide attempts to kill Spidey. He then dies asking Spider-Man not to tell Harry about the Green Goblin.
