4. Pig Head - Who Framed Roger Rabbit
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ai0dYPkE2bQ Who Framed Roger Rabbit is an endlessly inventive film, albeit one which apparently had even more ingenuity left on the cutting room floor, going by this fantastic - and seemingly complete - deleted scene that even bothered to go through the post-production process and everything. Judge Doom sends Eddie to Toontown, and when he comes out, he removes a burlap sack to find that he has been given a grotesque, animated pigs head for his trouble. Eddie then takes a shower with Turpentine, which causes the pig face to melt away, shown to us in unexpectedly graphic detail at the foot of the bath, as it all swirls down the plughole, animated eyes and all. Granted, this is a film that didn't need any help being disturbing - who can forget Judge Doom and the vats of acid? - and we therefore suspect this might have simply been too much for kids (even though they're not really the target audience) and the censors to handle. Still, it's a brilliantly inventive scene that again proves Robert Zemecki's creative genius, even if it was ultimately all pretty much for nothing.
