10 Awesome Fan Theories That Improve The X-Men Movies
6. Patrick Stewart's Professor X Will "Narrate" X-Men: Apocalypse
The next instalment of the X-Men movie franchise is set to be 2016's X-Men Apocalypse. The movie was teased at the end of X-Men: Days Of Future Past, when the post-credits scene showed a blue-skinned man in ancient Egypt, building the pyramids using telekinesis, while a crowd chants "En Sabah Nur" and four men on horseback look on. That blue-skinned man was of course En Sabah Nur himself - the first mutant and the man who would go on to become Apocalypse. The movie is set to take place in 1983 and, therefore, the older generation of X-Men actors will miss out (with the likes of James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender reprising their roles as the young versions of the characters). This has made people wonder why X-Men: Days Of Future Past bothered to bring several of the older generation back in cameo form at the end - and one theory is that X-Men: Apocalypse could actually begin at that point in time. The theory states that X-Men: Apocalypse could be presented in the form of Professor Xavier explaining to the newly awakened Wolverine exactly what has happened since he was sent back to the 1970s. Patrick Stewart could then return to tell the story of Apocalypse to Logan, narrating the tale at certain points - and that would be cool.
