10 Awesome Scenes Of Actors Playing Themselves

5. Bill Murray - Zombieland

Props to the filmmakers for managing to keep this one under wraps for so long ahead of release, because it resulted in one of the best as-himself cameos in film history. While trying to evade the zombie apocalypse, the gang winds up in the home of Bill Murray, who is wearing zombie make-up so that he can walk through town at leisure. However, this ends up being his downfall, as Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg), unaware of Murray's ruse, mistakes him for a zombie and fatally shoots him. As Murray is bleeding out, he delivers unquestionably one of the funniest lines of his career. Abigail Breslin asks him if he has any regrets, to which he replies, "Garfield maybe", a reference to the panned live-action adaptation in which he voiced the titular feline (and incredulously opted for a sequel, also).
