10 Awesome Train Wreck Scenes In Films That Are TOTAL Train Wrecks

5. Knowing - Subway Disaster

This film Knowing is in itself almost like the perfect metaphor for Nicolas Cage as an actor: it has moments of brilliant action and intrigue but ultimately you're left with more questions than answers and you're not entirely sure a lot of what you saw just made sense.

Released in 2009 from the creators of I, Robot (not entirely sure that was something to brag about when they put it on the posters), Knowing is a sci-fi thriller about a Professor (Cage) finding an encrypted document predicting global disasters all of which were beginning to come true. Although the plot sounds cool, it appears the writers just grabbed a hand full of buzzwords like "Old Testament", "disasters", "plane crash", "train crash", "aliens" and just threw them to the wall and saw what sticks. Unfortunately for them, the wall was extra sticky and all of the words stuck forcing them to write a bizarro plot with an extremely unsatisfying ending.

Despite the terrible plot, premise and overall story, the awesome subway train crash scene will have you on the edge of your seat and dreading any future underground trips you have in the near future!
