10 Awesome Ways Agents Of SHIELD Might Link To Avengers: Age Of Ultron
7. Baron Wolfgang Von Strucker
Played by Thomas Kretschmann, and having first appeared in a mid-credits cameo in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Baron Wolfgang von Strucker is set to make his first major appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Exactly what the entirety of his role in the movie will be remains to be seen, but he is expected to be a secondary villain that the Avengers go up against early in the movie, will initially have possession of Loki's sceptre, is responsible for the creation of Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch, and may even form an uneasy alliance of sorts with the titular robotic villain. It is also inside his fortress that quite a lot of the movie is set to take place. The character is now starting to get mentioned regularly on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., which could potentially be foreshadowing an appearance in the crossover episode with Age of Ultron. Kretschmann could well make an appearance on the show to provide a direct flesh-and-blood link to the movie. That being said, it could simply be the case that the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. visit his fortress to do some investigating of their own. Either way, his character could definitely be a connection between the two entities.
