10 Awful 2014 Movies That Deserved To Bomb At The Box Office

4. Wish I Was Here

Budget: $5.5 million Box office: $5.48 million Back in 2004 Zach Braff released his directorial debut, Garden State, hinting at great potential for a new emerging filmmaker capable of delivering low key, thoughtful independent movies. Ten years on and the truth is rather different. Wish I Was Here, Braff's latest movie in which a man comes to a significant, life-changing crossroads in his life, might strive for the same heartfelt insights into the nature of humanity as his earlier work, but unfortunately everything about it has already been said before by far better filmmakers. Braff is clearly aiming for the profound but sadly the results are far closer to Hollywood cliche. It's probably best to avoid this movie - in the end you'll probably wish you weren't there.
