10 Awful Movies The Flash Actors Want Us To Forget
If you want to check out these films because they star the Flash cast... don't.
The Flash may not have started the Arrowverse but it helped define it. Although Arrow tried to keep the story grounded in reality, the Scarlet Speedster embraced its wacky comic book origins, which allowed the DC mythos, storylines, and roster to expand.
Over the years, Barry Allen has travelled through time and space, battled evil versions of himself, faced off against other speedsters, and saved the entire multiverse from collapsing.
Of course if you've gotten attached to these characters, you might want to see more of the actors. Has Grant Gustin starred in any movies? What else has John Wesley Shipp done? Can you watch Tom Cavanagh in anything else?
Sadly, some performers haven't had much luck in the movie biz. We know there are times when a struggling actor has to accept an offer in a movie, even if they know it's complete trash. But even with this fact in mind, it's hard not to judge these actors when they find themselves working in absolute garbage. No matter how much you love The Flash ensemble, you shouldn't bother watching any of this lot.
10. A Nightmare On Elm Street - Clancy Brown (Wade Eiling)
Even though horror icons like Jason Voorhees and Michael Myers have been played by multiple actors, Robert Englund has remained synonymous with Freddy Kruger, since he portrayed the dream demon in every entry in the original Nightmare on Elm Street series. So, when Warner Bros announced it was rebooting the franchise, fans were skeptical. But when it was announced Freddy would be portrayed by Oscar-nominee, Jackie Earl Haley, people wanted to give it a chance.
Sadly, the dreadful reboot turned out so badly, the lead actress, Rooney Mara, strongly considered quitting acting. Even though Haley has a reputation for being the only good thing in bad movies, his performance came across as uncharismatic and generic.
One of the only good factors of this inconsequential remake is Clancy Brown, who portrays the school principal, Alan Smith. Brown plays a small role but it's pivotal, since he is the one who divulges Freddy's backstory to Nancy. Not only that, we see in a flashback that Alan was the ringleader of the gang who murdered Freddy. Brown is a terrific performer but he's not in the film long enough to justify watching it.
