10 Beloved Movie Legacies At Risk Of Being Ruined Forever

3. 10 Things I Hate About You

Of all the '90s movies to revive, not many will have seen 10 Things I Hate About You being the recipient. Especially receiving not just one sequel, but a planned three

To say this is unexpected would be an understatement, and it's totally unnecessary. The original, released in 1999, is nothing short of a cult classic that has only received more affection as time has passed.

High school rom-coms dominated the decade, but Gil Junger's 10 Things I Hate About You ranks among the very best, mainly due to the amazing acting on show spearheaded by Heath Ledger, as well as starring Julia Stiles, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and many, many more. It's sweet, stylish, and ultimately timeless, boasting that '90s nostalgia that movies made these days just can't replicate.

The planned new trilogy would consist of '10 Things I Hate About Dating', '10 Things I Hate About Marriage', and '10 Things I Hate About Kids', which could potentially feature some familiar faces from the original through cameos or even larger roles. Of all the films to touch, why can't this one just be left alone?

It just sounds like a recipe for disaster, and although Junger has confirmed that the movies will include a befitting tribute to Ledger, it just feels wrong to continue without him, considering this was the film that saw many fall in love with the revered actor as well as his signature charm and trademark charisma.

Please just pull the plug on this one before it's too late.
