It was already pretty clear that Bobcat Goldthwaite was a little bit weird, so it was with glee that horror fans noted his first foray into the generic waters. He didn't disappoint either, managing a found footage win despite apparently making a film about Bigfoot that warns about watching films about Bigfoot (or at least buying into the cultural significance of the legend).
It's a far departure from his usual comic material, but Goldthwaite clearly put the work in and the result is an atmospheric, satisfying slow-burn that hits all the right notes.
