10 Best & 10 Worst Horror Movies Coming In 2017
3. Sky Sharks
Terrifying as they are, it’s not surprising that sharks are perfect fodder for the horror genre and we’ve seen shark based films that run the gamut from the brilliant (Spielberg’s Jaws) to the terrible (Jaws: The Revenge) and the ‘so bad they’re kind of good’ (Sharknado). So, while it’s obviously imperative for filmmakers to bring something new to such a hackneyed plot device this can, of course, result in some wildly outlandish movies.
Case in point: director Marc Fehse’s upcoming movie Sky Sharks wherein a team of Antarctic geologists discover a Nazi laboratory home to an utterly insane piece of experimental warfare. What could be more insane than what the Nazis already did, I hear you cry? How do undead flying sharks ridden by genetically mutated Nazi zombies strike you? Naturally, such a formidable force can only be combated by reanimating a crack team of U.S. soldiers who died in ‘Nam.
On the upside, the comedy horror doesn’t seem to be taking itself too seriously but a film so crammed with B-movie elements can’t be anything but pretty bad.
