10 Best "Oh Sh*t, He's Dead And I'm Next" Moments In Horror Movies

9. The Devil's Rejects - Banjo & Sullivan

It may not have been the most gory death of Rob Zombie's The Devil's Rejects, but it's fair to say the demise of Brian Posehn's Jimmy could well be the most jarring of Zombie's 2005 picture.

The death of Jimmy stands out for being just so, well, cold-blooded, clinical and sudden. This was Otis (Bill Moseley) at his most 'don't give a f**k' ruthless, shooting Jimmy as soon as he entered a motel room.

For some background, Posehn's character is the roadie for the Banjo & Sullivan band that consists of married couples Adam and Wendy Banjo and Roy and Gloria Sullivan. Banjo & Sullivan had already become acquainted with Otis and Baby Firefly by the time Jimmy makes it to the motel room, and, in an act of utter brutality, Otis shoots poor Jimmy directly in the forehead mere seconds after he arrives to join his pals.

From that moment on, all four Banjo & Sullivan members knew they had an extremely high chance of becoming the next victim(s) of the Firefly clan, and that would indeed come to be the case - Roy and Adam killed by Otis (who also sliced Adam's face off), Baby throwing a knife in the chest of Gloria, and then a traumatised Wendy hit by a truck as she had her dead husband's face stuck to her head.
