Ant-Man and the Wasp may not have been in Infinity War, but they're destined to have huge roles in Avengers 4.

They've got their own film hitting theaters very soon that the Russos referred to as having the most direct connections to Infinity War and Avengers 4. From what is known of that film, the common assumption has been that the quantum realm will play a part in Avengers 4. Ant-Man and the Wasp look to venture into and explore the realm in hopes of retrieving Janet Van Dyne, and probably succeeding. So that is all kinds of potential for story-fodder for the sequel.

But also, what if Ant-Man and the Wasp were in Infinity War?

Their film is set just before the events of Infinity War and looks to explain where they were while the world was falling apart. But it has been postulated that they were actually in Infinity War, just on a subatomic level. In the final sequence on Titan, after Thanos has completely defeated the entire team of Avengers and Guardians, Doctor Strange gives him the time stone.

But when Strange summons the time stone, it looks a bit off. It's shot from the side, as the stone gradually grows larger until it is between his fingers. It's been passed off as the stone zooming towards Strange from outer space, but what if it actually is the stone growing larger? What if Strange had shrunken it down and Ant-Man and the Wasp were watching it for him?
