Ready Or Not focuses on a woman named Grace who marries into the Le Domas family. This wealthy clan has a huge secret as it turns out, they made a deal with a demonic entity named Le Bail. In exchange for their riches, they have to offer a sacrifice from time to time.

Unfortunately for Grace, she becomes the offering in their latest ritual.

She manages to find solace through Daniel, the younger brother of the man she married. Despite knowing his family's dark deeds, this member of the Le Domas family takes no pleasure in the ritual and has become a drunk because of the violence. During the events of the film, he makes no effort in hunting down Grace nor does he ever aid his relatives.

He fully redeems himself near the end of the film when he poisons his family in order to stop them from performing a ritual. Daniel then frees his sister-in-law but unfortunately is shot in the neck by his wife, Charity.

Though he doesn't survive the events of the Ready Or Not, his actions gave Grace a fighting chance and led to her survival by the film's conclusion.
