2. Sator Gets "Buried At Sea" - Tenet

The Babysitter Killer Queen
Warner Bros.

As divisive as Christopher Nolan's Tenet has been, most viewers will surely agree that Kenneth Branagh gives a terrifically menacing performance as the film's antagonist, Russian oligarch Andrei Sator.

Much of the film is defined by Sator's fraught relationship with his estranged wife Kat (Elizabeth Debicki), and in the delirious third act, Kat is tasked with preventing Sator from killing himself and activating an algorithm which will effectively destroy the world.

However, Kat ultimately makes the decision to kill Sator herself, plugging him with a bullet and, in a massively satisfying moment, dumping his corpse off the yacht. For added measure, his head smashes on the side of the boat as he tumbles into the sea.

Thankfully the Protagonist (John David Washington), Neil (Robert Pattinson), and Ives (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) manage to secure the algorithm regardless of Sator's death, but Kat sure as hell took a risk here - a deeply gratifying one, mind.
