10 Best Movie Insults Of All Time

001

Writing movies for a living has to be a pretty sweet gig, especially when your day consists of coming up with imaginative insults for the characters. There's nothing quite like a classic movie put-down, usually involving a copious amount of profane language that conjures up some pretty vile imagery. The common trait throughout, though, is wit; a barrage of swearing will in itself do little to amuse, shock or entertain, but when combined with the clever pen of writers like, for instance, Shane Black (whose work appears twice in this list), it makes for an unforgettable cinematic moment. Best of all, it's fun to see if you can use them in real life; granted, a lot of them are rude enough to probably get your ass kicked in a lot of real scenarios, so perhaps they're best enjoyed among friends who won't take too much offense. Here are the 10 best movie insults of all time...

10. Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back

Upon finding out that people have been badmouthing him on an Internet message board, Jay (Jason Mewes) logs on to post his own retort: ""All you mother****ers are gonna pay. You are the ones who are the ball-lickers. We're gonna f*** your mothers while you watch and cry like little whiny b****es. Once we get to Hollywood and find those Miramax f***s who are making that movie, we're gonna make 'em eat our s***, then s*** out our s***, then eat their s*** which is made up of our s*** that we made 'em eat. Then all you motherf***ers are next. Love, Jay and Silent Bob." Totally puerile yet undeniably hilarious, this is Kevin Smith at his trademark best.
