2. Caddyshack

In the classic golf comedy from 1980, Bill Murray plays Carl Spackler, the greenskeeper for the Bushwood Country Club. Due to the recent invasion of a gopher who tears up the greens, Spackler is given the task of ridding the club of the varmint once and for all. Carl talks to himself a lot. He taunts the gopher, quoting the existentialist philosopher Sartre in saying "au revoir gopher". He likens the gophers to the Vietcong, speaking to no one in particular. But the greatest example of Carl talking to himself is when he's pretending to be teeing off in a golf match. In his mind, he's on the final hole, and Carl - the former greenskeeper - is a mere 455 yards away from victory. In Spackler's Cinderella story, he drives the ball across the course to become the Masters champ. In reality, of course, he's just destroying a bunch of flowers.
