The first teaser trailer for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse did an excellent job of putting the spotlight on Miles Morales and introducing audiences to the idea of not only an animated Spider-Man movie but also this movie's incredibly unique animation style.

The first official trailer for the film, though, was the first time audiences got a look and feel for exactly what kind of film this was going to be, and boy was it incredible.

Whereas the teaser trailer had been fairly self-serious, the full trailer sold the film's irreverent tone and side-splitting comedy above all else. In boldly showing off what the film had to offer, the trailer showed that this wasn't just another Spider-Man movie, it was quite possibly the Spider-Man movie to watch. From teasing the inter-connected, universe-spanning storyline to giving a glimpse at the litany of villains and action the film was to house, this trailer sold the narrative and the animation style with swagger to spare.

Also, the final reveal of Spider-Gwen is pretty perfect and was the perfect way to show that this film had way more up its sleeve than even this trailer was letting on.
