10 Best Movie Trailers Of The 2010s
5. Mad Max: Fury Road
After years and years of setbacks, the fourth entry in the Mad Max franchise finally made it to the big screen in 2015.
Whilst no one would deny some of the dialogue in this trailer is a little on the corny side, everything else is pitch-perfect.
The visuals are nothing short of stunning. John Seale’s cinematography hits the eye immediately and gives the film a distinctive flavour due to the vibrant oranges set against the blue skyline.
The flashes of action sequences demonstrate how well George Miller directed this movie. Within a short succession, the viewer is gifted with a brief look into the crazy action set-pieces, all of which are made still more appetising by the adrenaline-fueled soundtrack.
Holding all these sequences together is a general aura of insanity. The over-the-top villains and the offbeat designs of the vehicles give this trailer – and the film itself – an unhinged quality that’s just as immersive as the action set-pieces.
In two-and-a-half minutes this trailer tells you everything you need to know about Mad Max: Fury Road. It’s crazy, exhilarating, violent, and gorgeous to look at.
