10 Best Psychological Thrillers On Netflix
2. I'm Thinking Of Ending Things
Charlie Kaufman's latest mindbender is less of a movie than it is an inkblot test.
On a road trip to visit her boyfriend's parents for the first time, a young woman begins to suspect that nothing is as it seems. Possibly even herself.
How do you even start to talk about a movie as enigmatic as I'm Thinking of Ending Things? It offers no answers and gives viewer zero time to process anything. However, it escapes the pretentiousness that can easily come along with a story such as that by being true to itself. As said before, this is less of a cinematic experience and more of a psychoanalysis of not only its characters, but its audience as well.
What you take away from the film and how it resonates with you is individual to you and you alone. Kaufman holds a mirror up to the viewer, asking them to take a deep, uncomfortable look into themselves.
It is not a movie for everyone, but if it is your cup of tea, it'll be one you'll want to drink again and again.
