10 Best Scenes When Evil Movie Characters Turned Good
8. Loki - Avengers: Infinity War
The entire point of Loki (Tom Hiddleston) as a character is that the audience never quite knows precisely where his allegiances lie.
Even so, he was an undeniably evil piece of work in his earlier MCU days, particularly when he worked under Thanos to mastermind the Chitauri invasion of Earth, and then spent a couple of years impersonating his own dear dad, Odin (Anthony Hopkins).
Despite making nice with his brother Thor (Chris Hemsworth) in Thor: Ragnarok by helping him defeat their sister Hela (Cate Blanchett), Loki's past deeds eventually caught up with him in Avengers: Infinity War.
Thanos (Josh Brolin) inevitably shows up inquiring about the whereabouts of the Space Stone, and after torturing Thor, convinces Loki to hand it over, much to Thor's chagrin.
With a last-ditch attempt to assassinate Thanos, however, Loki's luck finally ran out, as the Mad Titan promptly snapped his neck. For such a sniveling, conniving character, though, it was certainly a hero's death.
But thanks to Avengers: Endgame's timeline-hopping shenanigans, it mercifully wasn't the last we got to see of the trickster god in some form - and there's still a Disney+ series to come.
