Of all of the movies in the ever-expanding Terminator universe, Terminator 2: Judgement Day might not be the one with the most emphasis on war, but it is certainly one of the best.

Here we see Arnie at his finest as the T-800, this time reprogrammed to protect John Connor from the more advanced shapeshifting T-1000 (played to perfection by Robert Patrick).

Released in 1991, the effects in Judgement Day really were groundbreaking, and for the most part, hold up well even almost 30 years later.

Many scenes from Terminator 2: Judgement Day have permeated into pop culture, and remain heavily quoted or referenced today.

While there's not too much in the way of actual war in the movie, the stakes are as high as they ever could be, given that John Connor will grow to be the man who defeats the rogue military AI Skynet and save the human race.

T2 has some truly incredible action sequences, and incredible performances from all of its main cast.
