10 Best Serial Killers In Movies

6. Jigsaw - SAW

It's probably fair to say that Jigsaw's own Billy the Puppet is probably up for a fair inclusion on the creepiest dolls in horror movies, he is only bested by his master, Jigsaw.

Starting off by John Kramer's own disgust with the futility of life and the things we as a species take for granted after his cancer diagnosis, Kramer begins exacting his fury on those he deems unworthy of the life they are given.

Seeing people waste away their times on booze, drugs and bad moral choices, Jigsaw was born. Trapping his victims in increasingly sadistic traps, the deranged Kramer leaves them with a chance to get out of their predicament, but it will likely cost them something to do it.

We are first introduced to the Jigsaw killer in the first SAW film, which sees Dr. Lawrence Gordon and Adam Stanheight chained to pipes in a deserted bathroom, with nothing but a saw (that conveniently isn't capable of cutting through the chains) and a dead body in the room.

While the first film introduced us to the world of SAW very nicely and set up a genius serial killer who was always one step ahead of the police, the sequels managed to do away with a lot of that goodwill after introducing overcomplicated plots and increasingly over-the-top traps that seemed to forget what the essence of the first film was.

Either way, Jigsaw is a scary serial killer and one that will give audiences nightmares in ways they hadn't thought imaginable and will leave people checking their back seats for a while.
