10 Best Workplace Horror Movies

Retail is a horrible enough experience as it is - the last thing anyone needs is as a deranged murderer, slaughtering you as you try and get some work done.

Working the overnight shift at a supermarket, a crew of workers are quietly restocking the shelves in preparation for the next day. Unbeknownst to Linda (Renee Estevez) and her colleagues, there's a murderer in their midst, stalking the aisles.

Scott Spiegel's supermarket slasher film is one of the great underrated horror movies of the late eighties. Directed by the co-creator of The Evil Dead and with small roles for both Ted Raimi and Bruce Campbell, it was perhaps overlooked for not being The Evil Dead. But then, what is?

Instead, Intruder is its own thing; a gory, lurid psycho-thriller with a good story and solid kill sequences. There are all too few horror films set in grocery stores or retail - Intruder is the very best of them.
