The Harry Potter franchise only grew in popularity over the 2000's- 2010's, with J K Rowling's book being reimagined in the eight film franchise. As the wizards and witches progressed with the fans over the years, the action sequences only got bigger and better, as special effects and stunts grew with the times to create some epic fight scenes.

Daniel Radcliffe was known to continue with the same stunt double in to his later movies in the franchise, stepping in to continue the more dangerous stunts for the actor when the filming allowed the alternative. In the filming of the final two films The Deathly Hallows, his stunt double David Holmes suffered more than he bargained for.

During a rehearsal of a flying scene involving explosions, Holmes was hurled in to a wall at a mistimed speed, falling to the crash mat on the ground and suffering life long injuries that left him paralysed.

When the extent of his injuries were confirmed by the hospital, the stunt was replaced and a simplified version still remains in the movie, with a different stunt double to take his place.
