10 Biggest Guilty Pleasure Superhero Movies
7. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret Of The Ooze
The Turtles hold a very special place in the hearts of anyone who grew up in the eighties and the nineties, so naturally they've been the focus of a lot of bad live action movies.
Like, a lot.
Some like the first and the more recent Michael Bay iterations are pretty forgettable, whilst Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3 is so bad the fans are still receiving therapy.
Secret of the Ooze manages to capture the essence of the Turtles at their peak in a grungy and crime filled New York. Plus it has a secret weapon - the ninja rap, Vanilla Ice's immortal ballad.
On top of that, audiences finally got to see mutant on mutant violence, the one thing everyone expects of a TMNT movie but was totally absent from the first film and subsequent live action releases until Bay's 2016 sequel. They're not just any old mutants either, they're wolf and snapping turtle hybrids: Tokka and Rahzar.
There's also a fight with a mutated Super Shredder (finally!) it ends up being an underwhelming anticlimax but it's all a huge step in the right direction.
