Taken was a pleasant surprise when it arrived in 2008, showing that Liam Neeson could be an action star while raking in $226 million at the box office (from a meager $25 million budget). Though it wasn't lauded by critics, they found it fun enough to get on board for a sequel, though Olivier Megaton failed to find the success that director Pierre Morel had with the first film. Taken 2 currently sits at a sad 21% on Rottentomatoes, but made enough money ($376 million) to warrant another go around. Despite Liam Neeson's initial doubts about it happening, News broke earlier this week that Taken 3 is moving forward, that Olivier Megaton is returning, and that Forest Whitaker (Panic Room, The Butler) will be joining Neeson and Maggie Grace this time. No word yet on what the plot will be, but you can bet that Neeson or Grace are getting kidnapped. In fact, that's pretty much a guarantee. Luc Besson and Mark Kamen will once again pen the script, though this time let's hope they bring something new to the series (and hopefully end it).
