10 Biggest Movie Douchebags From The 80s

8. Carter Burke - Aliens

Carter Burke (played superbly by Paul Reiser) was a junior executive with the Weyland-Yutani Corporation in Aliens, a glorified bean-counter who was tasked with helping acclimate Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) to her post-statis experience, and he also went out into the field with both her and the gang of Marines to LV-426. Initially, Burke seems like a firm if likeable enough sort, though soon enough reveals that he in fact has ulterior motives in favour of Weyland-Yutani, to impregnate Newt and Ripley with Xenomorphs that he can return to the company through stasis. In the end, Burke is found out, but before the Marines can summarily execute him, he manages to sneak away, where he is taken by a Xenomorph, and presumably later chest-bursted. Reiser plays the part so well that I really wanted this guy to get a horrific, grisly death; instead, Cameron opted for an ironic twist where Burke's own attempt to kill the Marines end up getting him killed.
