10 Biggest Movie And TV News This Week (June 28)

1. Eli Wallach Has Passed Away

United ArtistsUnited ArtistsOn Thursday, we lost a Hollywood legend, as reports came in that The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly star Eli Wallach passed away at the age of 98. Wallach may be best known for his role as Tuco in Sergio Leone's masterful Western, but he had a long, fantastic film career that included roles in The Magnificent Seven, Lord Jim, The Misfits, Circle of Iron, The Sentinel, The Godfather Part III, and Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps. He even played Mr. Freeze in the 1960s Batman television show! Honestly, those films are just the tip of the iceberg, as he has 167 IMDb credits to his name for nearly sixty years of work, and that doesn't even include his many stage roles. Wallach never won an Academy Award, but was given an honorary Oscar in 2010 for being "the quintessential chameleon, effortlessly inhabiting a wide range of characters, while putting his inimitable stamp on every role." Our deepest condolences go out to his family and friends. He may be gone, but his roles will live on forever. That's all, folks! Those were the biggest movie and TV news stories worth talking about this week. What do you think, did we cover everything? How do you feel about a Predator relaunch, or Rosario Dawson in the Daredevil show? How about that WarGames remake, or the possibility of Rambo V? And, last but not least, what was your favorite Eli Wallach role? Sound off in the comments below, and be sure to follow me on Twitter for more news as it breaks throughout the week.
