6. Roger Donaldson To Remake All Quiet On The Western Front

The November Man director Roger Donaldson has been tapped to helm an adaptation of Erich Maria Remarque's 1928 novel All Quiet on the Western Front, which last made it to the big screen in the Oscar-winning 1930 adaptation from director Lewis Milestone. The story centers on a young German soldier fighting in the trenches during World War I. A remake has actually been in the works for several years now, with Daniel Radcliffe attached to star, but it looks like that iteration has fallen through the cracks. Donaldson's version looks to be hitting the ground running, however, and will begin shooting in Europe next spring. Source: Variety
