Captain America: The Winter Soldier hints that Hydra were responsible for the death of Howard and Maria Stark, and that it might have been Bucky who carried out the assassination. This would give Tony a clear personal motive to track him down in Civil War, but a newspaper clipping that comes with the box-set hints that maybe Asgard had something to do with it. Theres a news story on the clipping that talks about satellites picking up continent-sized windstorms, something that suggests people crossing over to Earth from Asgard. How and why someone from that realm would want to kill the Starks isnt clear and the story could be hinting at something in the next Thor movie instead but it feels significant that this story was reported at the same time as the car crash.
