7. Wakanda Vs. Atlantis (Black Panther: Wakanda Forever)

Aside from the question of how the film will handle Chadwick Boseman's tragic death, most of the speculation surrounding Black Panther: Wakanda Forever points in one, hugely exciting direction: Atlantis.

While we don't know anything about the film's story at this stage, rumours have been floating around for the last few months that Mexican actor Tenoch Huerta has been cast as Namor the Submariner, a fan-favourite character from the comics.

In those comics, Namor is an Atlantean king, and has strong ties to Wakanda and T'Challa, with the two sides regularly feuding with one another. Because of this connection, fans have long been theorising that Namor could make his MCU debut in Black Panther 2, which is why the rumour seems so credible.

Adding further fuel to the fire is another recent rumour that Mexican actress Mabel Cadena has been cast as Namor's cousin, Namora, who would fit perfectly into a Wakanda vs. Atlantis type storyline.

Namor is definitely popular enough to get his own solo movie right off the bat, but it's also not a bad idea to introduce him in an established franchise first - which is exactly what happened with Black Panther in 2016's Captain America: Civil War.
