8. Mark Wahlberg's Sully Will Ultimately Don That Iconic Moustache (Uncharted)
People who aren't fans of Uncharted won't understand the uproar here, but it's a big deal that Mark Wahlberg doesn't appear to be sporting a moustache in the upcoming adaptation of Sony's blockbuster game series.
Wahlberg is playing Victor "Sully" Sullivan, mentor to Tom Holland's Nathan Drake. Sully is a character for whom his moustache is a signature trait, which might sound silly, but without it, he feels less like Nate's father figure, and more like his friend. It's an important distinction, and the moustache really does help illustrate it.
Fortunately though, there is hope. It's rumoured that Wahlberg will indeed have a moustache for a portion of the film, whether it's a post-credits scene reveal, a part of the narrative involving a time jump, or both.
This rumour has arisen not just because of the expectation that Sully will have a moustache, but because of this Wahlberg Instagram post - uploaded when Uncharted was still in production - in which the actor has a rather bushy upper lip.
There were only a few days of filming left when Wahlberg uploaded that video, so if his moustache was for Uncharted, then it probably won't be in the movie for long.
