10 Biggest Unconfirmed Rumours About 2022 Movies

5. Heimdall Lives?! (Thor: Love And Thunder)

The MCU is infamous for bringing its characters back from the dead, whether you're talking about Agent Coulson, Gamora, Loki (multiple times), or even Nick Fury's fakeout in Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

So it isn't a total shocker to learn that Idris Elba's Heimdall - who was killed by Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War - might be about to make an MCU comeback.

This is another rumour that comes straight from the actor in question, with Elba recently pointing out that Heimdall "seemingly" (not "definitely") died in Infinity War, hinting that the character might've actually survived his encounter with the Mad Titan.

Heimdall is an incredibly powerful character, so it's somewhat plausible that he managed to make it out alive. And with a Thor sequel on the horizon, what better place for him to make his grand return?

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
