10 Biggest Unconfirmed Rumours About 2022 Movies

4. Wanda Will Fight A Fox-Verse Character (Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness)

Wanda vs Jean Grey
Marvel Studios / 20th Century Studios

Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness has a lot on its plate. It has to be a sequel to the first Doctor Strange movie, it has to deal with the multiversal fallouts of Loki and (presumably) Spider-Man: No Way Home, and it also has to pick up Wanda Maximoff's story after the crazy events of WandaVision, with the Scarlet Witch possibly taking on a more antagonistic role after losing her two children.

Little is known about her part in the movie, but if this rumour is to be believed, then fans are in for an absolute treat.

According to industry scooper Daniel Richtman, Multiverse Of Madness will feature a fight between Wanda and "someone from the Fox-verse". "Fox-verse" basically means all the Marvel movies that 20th Century Fox produced before being taken over by Disney, such as the Hugh Jackman X-Men movies, the Chris Evans Fantastic Four movies, and Ben Affleck's Daredevil.

Many fans are speculating that this character will be Sophie Turner or Famke Janssen as Jean Grey, and assuming the rumour pans out, this is huge.

Not only does it open the door for more of Fox's superhero characters to return in the MCU (think Patrick Stewart as Professor X, or yes, Hugh Jackman as Wolverine), but it might also mean that Multiverse Of Madness will be the movie that introduces mutants to the MCU. Sounds unlikely, but if this rumour is true, then all bets are off.
