10 Biggest Ways The DCEU Has Changed From Original Plans
7. The Flash Moves At A Snail's Pace
Ironically for a superhero that bills himself as the fastest man in the world, The Flash's solo movie has made virtually no forward momentum since the day it was first announced, and has fallen victim to constant reshuffles behind the scenes.
Ezra Miller has been the only constant throughout development, but there's even been rumors that he could end up getting replaced as the title character following the highly-publicized backlash that greeted a viral video of the actor allegedly choking out a fan.
Seth Grahame-Smith, Rick Famuyiwa and John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein all came and went, with Andy Muschietti currently signed on to direct. Meanwhile, the script has been through the hands of Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, Joby Harold, Dan Mazeau, Grant Morrison and Christina Hodson at various points, but still seems no closer to actually getting in front of cameras.
The Flash has been in development since the summer of 2013, but still isn't scheduled to be released until June 2022 despite early plans to be a core installment in the DCEU's first wave of movies. At this rate, don't be surprised if it gets hit with even more delays.
