10 Blockbuster Stars We Don't Give Enough Credit As Actors
10. Taylor Kitsch
Taylor Kitsch has had some tough breaks in Hollywood so far. Sure, he's headlined a few out-and-out disasters, but what happened there was that studios bet a lot of money on him being a bankable name, and he just wasn't. It was a major mistake to try and make him the star of some really expensive movies, rather than building him up gradually, but that's hardly his fault. He garnered a great deal of critical praise for his work on Friday Night Lights, the show that catapulted him into the big league, and he more or less stole Wolverine away from Hugh Jackman with his charismatic turn as Gambit. Can Gambit be in the spotlight more often? And can Taylor Kitsch continue to play him? Thanks. This year, he has an HBO adaptation of Larry Kramer's celebrated play The Normal Heart on his table, and it will serve as an opportunity for him to break out as a dramatic actor. The Normal Heart is an angry, emotional look at the first few years of the AIDS crisis in New York City, with a cast full of tried-and-true dramatic actors, so he's got his work cut out for him.
