10 Brilliant Musical Movie Moments That Caught You Completely Off Guard

2. Ron Burgundy Jazz Flute €“ Anchorman: The Legend Of Ron Burgundy

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_c_ufaxeSTs The brilliant 2004 comedy film Anchorman, stars Will Ferrell as mid-1970s San Diego news anchor Ron Burgundy. Anchorman follows the story of Ron Burgundy, and tracks his out of touch life working for KVWN Channel 4 News. The film also stars Christina Applegate as Veronica Corningstone, Ron Burgundy's female co-anchor, rival and love interest. In an attempt to woo Veronica, Will Ferrell's character takes her to a restaurant on a date. In one of the best pieces of impromptu music in film, Ron is persuaded to play improvised Jazz flute on stage, and duly complies. The scene is fantastic, as Ron goes on a majestic, absurd and memorable rendition of Aqualung, before going off on a musical tangent of cocktail-stomping, bathroom-intruding, flame-blowing Jazz. It's all the more impressive, because as he admits, he barely prepared.
