10 Characters Who Will Probably Die In 2020's Biggest Movies

5. Loxias Crown (Matt Smith) - Morbius

Doctor Who Matt Smith Foreboding
BBC

The second instalment in Sony's own little Marvel universe - following Venom - Morbius will star Jared Leto as the titular vampire hero, with Matt Smith playing his villainous counterpart, Loxias Crown.

Alongside Crown, the film will feature another character who is also after Morbius: FBI agent Simon Stroud, set to be played by Tyrese Gibson. That's two bad guy characters chasing Morbius down, and at the very least, you'd expect one of them to die in the process, and it's definitely Crown who is likely to suffer the most.

For one thing, we know that Gibson signed a three-picture deal when he accepted his role, but we haven't heard something similar when it comes to Smith. That's not to say that Smith hasn't signed a similar deal, but we can only base this speculation on things we know for sure.

Crown also falls into that category of villain who has the exact same powers as the hero - in this case, vampirism. As a result, there's a limit to how interesting the fights between Crown and Morbius can be, and it would benefit the franchise greatly to proceed with a different antagonist, someone with a more varied and visually engaging powerset.
