10 Christian Perspectives On 2015's Movies

9. Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 - "Not A Single Potty Reference!"

“If you believe the purpose of life is to only serve yourself, then you have no purpose. Help someone today.”

Not a line from The Bible, but a quote from Paul Blart (Kevin James), who has clearly been reading Ephesians 4:28: “Let the thief no longer steal, but rather let him labour, doing honest work with his own hands, so that he may have something to share with anyone in need.” Yes, if you are a movie going Christian seeking entertainment in an otherwise toxic year, Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 comes with a ringing endorsement.

“Considering this movie was produced by Adam Sandler’s Happy Madison Productions,” wrote one viewer, “I expected almost nonstop potty humor and at least a few curse words. I don’t recall a single curse word other than “gosh darnit” or something like that. Not a single potty reference that I remember, which is UNHEARD OF in modern day comedies.”
