7. Two-Face (Batman Forever)

I am one of the few who will stand up for Joel Schumacher's Batman Forever; I think it's a fun bit of pulp that doesn't take itself too seriously, and I even enjoyed the delightfully over-the-top villainous performances from Tommy Lee Jones (as Two-Face) and Jim Carrey (as The Riddler). However, Jones' character particularly suffers nowadays, because Christopher Nolan has interpreted the character since in such a startling, unforgettable manner. To glance back at Jones' Two-Face now is to see a ridiculous campy, overly theatrical character - nothing is more laughable than the exact straight line going down his body, which even transforms his suit into some sort of funky 1970s psychedelic knock-off. Compared to the subsequent portrayal by Aaron Eckhart in The Dark Knight, it's hard to look back at this one and even take it on its own terms - it just looks dated and daft (and not in a good way). Plus, the way Batman kills him is absolutely ridiculous - he hurls a fistful of dimes into his face, which confuses him enough that he ends up falling to his death.
