With a Fantastic Four movie reboot in the works, there is a distinct possibility that Annihilus could be one of their featured movie villains in the future and an on-screen appearance from this very versatile item would be fantastic. The Cosmic Control Rod grants its wielders complete control over energy and matter at the molecular level, powerful offensive, concussive blasts of energy in combat, force-field and construct creation, control over machinery, teleportation, inter-dimensional travel capabilities and a general physical statistic boost as well as almost complete immortality. It is such a versatile object with such a vast array of powers and abilities that its on-screen potential is almost limitless. And bringing with it one of the most formidable villains in comic books would only add to its awesomeness.
