10 Comic Book Items It'd Be Awesome To See In Live Action Movies

5. Warsuit (DC)

Lex Luthor Warsuit In order to match Superman physically, Lex Luthor built a power suit using Apokoliptian technology that he had acquired. Lex Luthor is, frankly, getting quite boring as a Superman villain in live action features, having already been portrayed by both Gene Hackman and Kevin Spacey in movies and Michael Rosenbaum in the Smallville television series. With Superman having such a large and varied rogues gallery, it's hard to believe that he is set to appear yet again as the prime antagonist in the next movie. However, what would make him interesting again is if he wears a power armour and takes Superman on physically as well as just with his schemes and plans, as he has done in movies previously. When wearing the armour, Luthor gains a high degree of protection against attack. Even the apparently exposed head is protected by an invisible full body force-field that is good enough to completely block energy blasts and resist superstrength punches. Without the force-field, the armor can be wrecked by high level physical attacks, although it is still bulletproof and capable of offering protection against lesser physical attacks. The power armour also enhances the wearer's strength and carries an array of in-built weaponry. These weapons range from wrist-mounted machine guns and shoulder-mounted rocket launchers to the advanced, long-range energy guns and short-range, wide-beam energy projectors. The Apokoliptian computer systems that control the armour read the mind of the user and react at the speed of mental commands. It is also capable of flight and contains a single use short-range teleporter that will send the pilot to the closest safe location it can detect if there is risk of the user suffering lethal damage. Essentially, it puts Luthor at a level that means he can at least compete with Superman in battle - and that would be something we'd love to see in a live action movie.
