10 Comic Book Movie Deaths That Should Never Have Happened

Hopes were high when Batman vs Superman was released in 2015 with DC movie fans hyping over the dark and gritty storylines that lay in store. Yet after over two and a half hours of dire acting, a loose plot and questionable casting, many ultimately left disappointed and threatening to boycott Suicide Squad which, ultimately, did little to allay concerns when it came out later in the year.

Ben Affleck’s caped crusader is not a patch on that of Christian Bale’s, Jesse Eisenberg’s quirky attempt at Lex Luthor fails to pay off, Jonathan Kent’s death is a completely pointless anicodate while Superman himself is defeated – despite the hero being arguably the strongest character in the entire DC universe.]

His death, at least, is handled tastefully. But it all seems pointless because everybody knew he would return when Justice League hit screens three years later, therefore any scenes of Louis Lane mourning fail to hit the emotional notes that DC intended.Truth be told, the return of Henry Cavill’s character is one of Justice League’s better moments.

That is if you ignore the CGI'd out moustache and corny race scenes with The Flash, that is...

Sport and Film. I love them both. And I'm extremely lucky to write about two of my biggest passions in life. Most of the time, I'm at the Daily Express newspaper writing about football, tennis and F1. But, when I'm out of there, I let my imagination run wild and pen down my thoughts on the film series' I love. WhatCulture gives me the chance to write about the movie industry - an industry I really care about. And for that, I'm extremely grateful. And hope you, if you're reading this, enjoy what I think about stuff.
